Monitoring Profiles

Monitoring profiles are assigned to Monitoring policies. These profiles allow you to monitor and alert on several key metrics on your managed endpoints in VSA 10. Select a profile from the list below or using the left navigation menu to learn more.
Profile Name | Description |
---|---|
Event Log | The Event Log profile allows you to monitor system events and configure notifications for event log messages. Refer to Event Log profiles. |
Network | The Network profile allows you to monitor the connectivity of any device that can be pinged from a VSA 10-installed device. Refer to Network profiles. |
Performance | The Performance profile allows you to notify on various metrics that could affect device performance. You can notify when monitored ports are closed, when free memory is low, and when processor usage is too high or too low. Refer to Performance profiles. |
Performance Counters | The Performance Counters profile allows you to notify on and collect historical data for performance counters. This allows you to monitor how well the operating system or an application, service, or driver is performing. Refer to Performance Counters profiles. |
Processes | The Processes profile allows you to monitor and notify on processes based on their state and usage. You can notify when a process has started, stopped, is not responding, or consumes too much processing power. Refer to Processes profiles. |
Monitored Services | The Monitored Services profile allows you to monitor the status of services on a device and detect if a service exists. Refer to Monitored Services profiles. |
SNMP | The SNMP profile allows you to monitor devices that you otherwise would not be able to install the the VSA 10 agent on, such as routers, modems, and firewalls. Refer to SNMP profiles. |
Status | The Status profile allows you to notify on device status events, such as when a device goes offline, when a user logs in, when a removable disk is inserted, and other changes that may require your attention. Refer to Status profiles. |
Storage | The Storage profile allows you to alert when one or more drives is low on available storage. Refer to Storage profiles. |
