Device Configuration Profiles

Device Configuration profiles are assigned to Device Configuration policies. These profiles allow you to enforce device management settings on your managed endpoints through VSA 10. Select a profile from the list below or using the left navigation menu to learn more.

Profile Name Description
General The General profile configures which system commands can be remotely sent via VSA 10 to your managed endpoints and if you want to force those commands. You can also configure visibility of system processes, event log events, and temperature readings. Refer to General profiles.
Remote Desktop The Remote Desktop profile defines how remote computer access functions for anyone remoting in to a computer through VSA 10. Refer to Remote Desktop profiles.
File Browser The File Browser profile configures what users are permitted to do when browsing files on remote devices, including whether or not they can browse files on remote devices, see hidden files and folders, and preview, delete, or email those files. Refer to File Browser profiles.
User Sessions The User Sessions profile configures which controls are enabled for technicians while interacting with devices and which controls are enabled for end users. Refer to User Sessions profiles.
System Details The System Details profile configures which device details and management options are available when viewing a device. Refer to System Details profiles.
Syslog Server The Syslog Server profile enables the forwarding of notifications from devices to your configured syslog server. Refer to Syslog Server profiles.
PagerDuty The PagerDuty profile enables the forwarding of notifications from devices to PagerDuty. Refer to PagerDuty profiles.
Zendesk The Zendesk profile enables the forwarding of notifications from devices to create tickets in Zendesk. Refer to Zendesk profiles.
Maintenance Schedule The Maintenance Schedule profile allows you to configure windows of time during which devices are placed into maintenance mode. This suppresses device notifications during that maintenance window. You can suppress notifications from devices on a recurring basis on the days and times you choose. Apple MDM Applications The Apple MDM Applications profile allows you to provision, install, and update software from the Apple App Store, Apple Apps and Books, and user configured custom applications through VSA 10 on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices. Refer to Apple MDM Applications profile.
Apple MDM Restrictions The Apple MDM Restrictions profile allows you to allow or restrict functions on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS devices. Refer to Apple MDM Restrictions profile.
Apple MDM Networking The Apple MDM Networking profile allows you to configure network settings for the different types of network interfaces that macOS, iOS, and iPadOS can connect to. Refer to Apple MDM Networking profile.
Apple MDM Security The Apple MDM Security profile allows you to configure security settings and certificates for macOS, iOS and iPadOS devices. Refer to Apple MDM Security profile.
Apple MDM System Configuration The Apple MDM System Configuration profile allows you to configure system settings for MacOS, iOS and iPadOS devices. Refer to Apple MDM System Configuration profile.
