PagerDuty profiles

In PagerDuty Settings, you will configure the device to send a copy of each notification to PagerDuty. This can also be configured manually in the VSA 10 Agent within Settings > PagerDuty.

Enter your service key for PagerDuty, and select which notification priorities you wish to be forwarded to PagerDuty.

To create a PagerDuty profile, perform the following steps:

1. From the left navigation menu in VSA 10, navigate to Configuration > Profiles.
2. The Profiles page will load. At the top of the page, click New Profile.
   

3. The Create New Profile page will load.

4. In the Name section, enter a name for the profile.
5. Optionally, enter information about the profile in the Description section.
6. In the Profile Type section, select PagerDuty underneath Device Configuration.
7. Optionally, assign relevant tags in the Content Tag section.
8. Click Next.
9. Customize the profile to your needs. Reference the Profile configuration settings section, if needed.
10. When you've finished customizing the profile, click Create.

Next, you'll need to create a policy that defines the devices to which you'd like to automatically apply your configuration. Complete the following steps:

1. Navigate to Configuration > Policies. Create a new policy or edit an existing policy.
2. Click Assign Profile.
3. Locate the profile you'd like to use. Select it by clicking the radio button next to its name.

4. Click Assign.
5. VSA 10 will begin enforcing the selected profile immediately. You can view it in effect at Configuration > Policies.
