Advanced Reporting is a powerful reporting engine that allows you to organize and present interactive, engaging reports to your staff and customers.
Advanced reporting comes with built-in report templates to gain insights to improve security and compliance. It allows you to perform quick health checks on devices.
Categories
Let’s start with a Categories tab. Categories help organize reports and dashboards and make navigation easier. You can assign a category to a report. You can add a personal category and use it along with the built-in categories.
Report templates are documents with predefined page layouts, styles, and fonts. They are used to avoid the repetitive recreation of reports having the same structure or format.
Prebuilt reports are available to use as templates in the report designer. These reports exist in the various Category folders and can be copied if you want to create a report based on an existing template.
When creating a new report from scratch, the blank RDL report and blank page report are the standard templates.
Working with templates
You can perform the typical actions on a template. You can find the corresponding buttons near each template in the list or in the upper-right corner on top of the view.
For instance, you can duplicate an existing built-in template and edit the copy.
Favorites
The Favorites tab contains all your favorite marked templates in one place. To add a template to your favorites, select any document and click a star.

Viewer and parameters
The report viewer has numerous built-in features that enable you to print or export a report, zoom in or out of a report, search for any text or numbers, navigate between the report pages, and more.
You can add parameters, filters, and prompts to the reports. It allows you to select data from a predefined list so you can view the relevant bits at a time.
Export
Suiting your requirements, Advanced Reporting offers you plenty of export formats to export your reports, including PDF, Excel, Word, CSV, HTML, image, and JSON.
Schedule
Once you create a scheduled task, the run result of the report is automatically generated at the specified time or interval in the chosen file format. You can share the result by sending an email to the designated email address, storing it on the system server, or keeping the result at a shared location.
New report
You can quickly create meaningful and beautiful reports with ease.
The existing report templates can be used to build these reports. Once a new document is created and saved, it is displayed in the Categories tab.
Report designer
The familiar and user-friendly interface looks like a word-processing web application with extra data-driven features. The toolbox provides all the components and controls to ensure high flexibility in the report creation process. The designer-integrated viewer allows you to quickly and easily switch between both to see how the report design looks with data while still creating it.
