Enabling performance counter monitoring

Counters are used to provide information as to how well the operating system or an application, service, or driver is performing. The counter data can help determine system bottlenecks and fine-tune system and application performance.

Enabling performance counter notifications

NAVIGATION  VSA 10 Agent > Notifications > Counters > Send a notification when one of these conditions are met > Add

Performances counters provide you easy access to the complex parameters of a device’s components. Monitoring these will keep you updated if normal parameters are not met.

After clicking, configure the parameters as desired:

Importing the configuration for performance counter monitoring

NAVIGATION  VSA 10 Agent (on the remote device) > Notifications > Counters > Import

To import performance counter notification settings, you will need to provide a valid path and to make sure the local user has read access to the file.

Exporting the configuration for performance counter monitoring

NAVIGATION  VSA 10 Agent > Notifications > Counters > Export

Exporting your performance counter notification settings can be useful if you would like to apply the same configuration to multiple devices. After configuring parameters, export your settings in files and import them into as many computers as you need.
